NS Harsha Gathering Delights

alking through the doors of the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT), visitors to NS Harsha’s solo exhibition, “Gathering Delights,” were greeted by 193 sewing machines arrayed along the arcade. At first glance, they might have been mistaken for relics of the former textile factory, yet a closer look revealed a colorful web of threads and a national flag wrapped around each of the (2007/19), the workstations represent the member states of the United Nations. Lined up uniformly, these assemblages of objects and symbols appear as a pattern that summarizes the rules and norms of the world, as well as a gathering of differences that anchor the global community in all its complexity.
