avid Huang’s multi-colored, whimsical illustrations can easily brighten anyone’s day. Meticulously detailed, they capture scenes of cosmopolitan life: never-ending traffic in Taipei, as seen in (2016); bustling corner stores in New York, the subject of (2017); and assortments of appetizing street snacks, (2019). In his soon-to-be revealed mural on Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing’s exterior wall, titled (2019), hybrid flying cars and floating islands hover above gigantic figures from various walks of life, stepping over highways and into lines of vehicles surrounding the 798 Art District, with the iconic skyline of Beijing in the background. These characters accentuate the dynamism and diversity of the capital’s communities, reflecting Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing’s theme for 2020: “Social Intelligence.”
