WeWork Martin Place and Pyrmont

WeWork, the world’s sixth most valuable start-up, has arrived in Sydney, seven years after setting itself up in New York. WeWork provides shared workspaces for small businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs and has established itself as the benchmark when it comes to co-working spaces. Working with local design partner TomMarkHenry, the co-working giant has opened two new workspaces in Sydney – one on Martin Place in the CBD and one in Pyrmont. With a third office opening soon on George Street, and two more planned for Melbourne, this new venture raises the question: in cities that already offer a variety of homegrown co-working spaces, what does WeWork have to add to the conversation?
