SHOOTER’S SHOWCASE

NEW Anschutz Model 1761

The new Anschutz 1761 is the first all new bolt action rimfire to be released by Anschutz since 1964. With a standardised magazine gate and barrel locking clamps, it is designed for calibre changes between 22LR, 22WMR and 17HMR. This is best achieved by a qualified gunsmith. This all-new series of rimfire rifles from Anschutz is designed and produced in Germany and cements Anschutz as the forerunner of rimfire accuracy and technology.

The new model 1761 is available in two stock designs, two barrel lengths and three calibres. The bolt offers a three-lug locking mechanism for phenomenal precision and simple disassembly for care and cleaning. The model 1761 also offers an adjustable Anschutz single stage trigger (5061) set at the factory to 2.2lbs. This single stage trigger is adjustable from 1.8lbs to 2.7lbs.

Other features include ergonomic and silent activating position safety, two basic versions of their precision barrels in 18” with barrel thread or 20.3” without barrel thread and single stack 5-shot magazine with stainless steel housing.
