I could never restore a classic adventure bike. I lack the necessary mechanical and intellectual skills. I’m impetuous, impulsive, impatient, every other character flaw beginning with ‘im’, plus I never remember where I put anything. When I photographed Lance’s bikes I left a ballhead off a tripod and a flash stand in his immaculate garage and he had to mail them back to me. So, no, I’ll never restore anything larger than a matchbox, and why would anyone do that?
