Going ORGANIC A school’s story

Children as young as three years old start their Waikato Waldorf School journey at Kowhai, Tui Childcare and Miro House Kindergarten, thriving in a series of natural gardens and playgrounds protected by organic certification.

The school, based on the educational philosophies of Rudolf Steiner, had its humble origins in 1996 in paddocks just to the north of Hamilton, peppered with a gaggle of relocatable buildings and powered by determined and enthusiastic parents who personally guaranteed a development loan.
