I’ve mentioned in previous articles that gardening is one of the ways to capture solar energy. The next logical step is to stop that energy escaping. The further south you live, the more a glasshouse makes sense: it extends both ends of the growing season and removes frost from an already marginal equation, one where a very few degrees of temperature makes a big difference. And by applying a little logic, we can optimize the return on our investment.
