Bimini is part of the Bahamas chain of islands that is the closest to the U.S.A., just under 80km off the Florida coast. It has been a popular tourist destination for decades and has seen its fair share of the rich and famous taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Bimini was reputed to be Ernest Hemingway’s favourite place to escape and is where he wrote Islands in the Stream.
