TIPA World Awards 2019

Press Association (TIPA) has announced the winning imaging products in its annual TIPA World Awards which covers 40 categories. The global group of photography magazines currently has 28 members – including our – from around the world including USA, Canada, Brazil, China, India, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Greece and the United Kingdom. The representatives of these publications recently convened in Bangkok to judge the short-listed products in this year’s awards. A sign of the times is that there was only one specific D-SLR category this year – as there was only one new eligible product –versus seven for mirrorless cameras. Consequently, a revising of the camera categories for 2019 sees them now defined by sensor size rather than body type.
