Just What the Doctor Ordered
Contrary to other manufacturers, Fujifilm has decided to focus on APS-C mirrorless cameras and not enter the full-frame market. As a specialist APS-C player, Fujifilm has done rather well and its efforts in the mirrorless APS-C market have won acclaim both for the excellence of its cameras and the high quality of its optics. We now have with us their latest introduction – the X-T30. Introduced in late March in India, the Fujifilm X-T30 is smaller than its sibling, the X-T3, but borrows some of the features from the X-T3 and comes at a lower price point. Let’s see how it fares...
Design & Build Quality
The Fujifilm X-T30 is a beautifully crafted, solidly built, lightweight mirrorless camera. The letterings in white are easy to read. You can buy only the body, or the body with the 18-55 mm f/2.8-4 kit lens, or body with the 18-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. The body is available in silver, charcoal silver and black. We received the X-T30 with a 18-135 mm kit lens.
Key Features
The Fujifilm X-T30 is a 26.1 megapixel compact and lightweight interchangeable lens mirrorless camera.
It features a back-illuminated, fourth generation X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor (like in the X-T3) without a low-pass filter. The back-illumination improves on the image quality while keeping noise at a low level.
