The Mother of All Streaks

It took an extraordinary try by the French to beat the All Blacks at Eden Park on July, 3 1994.

It was a try that started almost on their own goal-line, saw the ball moved through eight pairs of hands, supported by some of the most magnificent support running seen in the last 40 years.

It was a try only the French, at their best as they were in 1994, could have scored. It was a try scored only because the French had such incredible imagination and belief that at 20-17 down with just a couple of minutes remaining, that they could still win the series.
