His van, which has plastic taped over a broken window to keep the rain out, is parked out front and I find him downstairs in the garage he’s converted into a shaping bay. I push open the makeshift door to find Eddy Current Suppression Ring blaring out of a Makita tradie radio and Daniels blowing the dust off a freshly hewn blank, soon to become board number 272. “I number every one of them”, he laughs.
