In terms of the SS20 collection you describe it as ‘a fashion sanctuary, where we can all come and celebrate’, and with world affairs becoming more unstable and darker, did this influence the opulence and romance of the collection?
Yeah, I think from what I’m doing fashion should be escapism as well as having pieces that are very much in reality but are presented in the way that it is a show and it is in a way quite fantasy and quite over the top, but there are women in the world who wear it. Yeah, I just wanted to have an adverse effect on what’s going on at the moment in terms of actually going all out, in terms of volume, colours, textiles, and also have that kind of darker element to it as well. So the collection started quite dark, and started with black latex and as it goes through it gets more printed and more textured.
