CATE: THE GOLDEN AGE Fame, family & being 50

Cate Blanchett has an unusual fascination – and it’s fully indulged in her latest film.

“I’m obsessed with icebergs,” she says. “I went to Greenland, where I got to experience some up close. They’re magnetic and magical. I love the sound of the ice when the iceberg breaks. It’s constantly cracking and carving.”

She was there to shoot scenes for Where’d You Go, She plays the title role in the film, an architect who becomes introverted after getting married and having children.
