THE BIG SHOW
On Ausugst 1 the doors will open to an expected 60,000 eager boaties, keen to explore 1,000 boats and many more marine accessories at the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS).
SIBS returns to the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney and Cockle Bay until August 5. The show – the largest recreational boat show in the southern hemisphere – fills the entire exhibition space available at the ICC, as well as the purpose-built marina on Cockle Bay ,where some 200 power and sail boats will be displayed.
Darren Vaux, President of the Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA), said the popularity of the show among exhibitors means display space is in high demand, with visitors to the show expecting quality displays and gear to suit all budgets. “The enthusiasm for the show is always remarkable,” Vaux said.
The BIA acknowledges the efforts of exhibitors by way of Best Stand Awards, which recognise excellence in the display of products or services. The winners are announced at the annual Boat Show Industry Breakfast, held on the
