Wake up the camp fridge – it’s midsummer! Off to Otago, nice, lots to see, places to go. Some good 4WDing, though I probably won’t be able to get too serious alone and well laden.

Shortcut Geraldine’s main street, grab supplies and score a couple of historic Kiwi books from the second-hand shop who’s owner was selling up. Forsake usual back-roads route to Mackenzie for the main drag then bypass
