I was what teachers call in educator-speak “a challenging student”. Not poorly behaved; “challenging”, not a menace to myself or others – “challenging”, more a “hey Miss, why do we stop our times tables at 12 – what about 13 and 14 times tables?” type of challenging.
From the very earliest of ages numbers have made sense to me. I’ve come to believe strongly that the essence of being human, what separates us from puppy dogs and plants,
