“Millwick has a lot of greenery, so we chose colors that would make our friends stand out,” Marcia says. “We looked at restaurant branding for ideas, knowing we wanted them to be modern, colorful and fun,” Marcia says. One of Sarah’s bridesmaids, who’s a former ballroom dancer, Loving its tropical vibes, the two first considered Palm Springs for their wedding. Instead, they incorporated the spirit of the city with bright florals, like dwarf pineapples, pink anthurium and yellow craspedia. Marcia filmed their Singaporean neighborhood and flat, plus their calico cats, Porridge and Sambal, to project on a loop. Totally unplanned, Marcia vowed to always wash the dishes, and Sarah promised to always cook for Marcia—but not to wash the dishes.
