Founded in response to the Hunting Act as Vets for Hunting – the name was changed to reflect its wider concerns, particularly bovine TB – the Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management (VAWM) brings together eminent figures in the veterinary world. Its aim is to promote the “management of wildlife by methods advantageous for the welfare of wild animals and which promote or sustain health and vigour of their species”.
