Having been brought up around Colchester and still having relatives living nearby, I was keen to return to the area after living in London for 20 years,’ says Lucy. ‘So we left the city and moved into a three-bed Victorian semi in Colchester. Then six years ago, as our sons approached their teenager years, I felt we’d outgrown the property and started yearning for a new project.
