So you’ve had a call from your local farmer asking you to take a look at his rape that’s being denuded by woodpigeons. If you’re wise and would like to stay in his good books you’ll get yourself over to have a look as soon as possible and do some reconnaissance for a day’s decoying. This happened to me recently with one of the estate farmers. There are a few things that you can do in advance to try to tip things in your favour for the day you shoot.
