Gun manufacturing giant Browning has made any number of attempts to replace its renowned Auto-5, a semiautomatic shotgun that first went into production in 1902 and remained in production until 1998. Some models have been more successful than others (the gas-operated B-2000 was a particular sales flop), but few would argue that the Gold Hunter was one of the real front-runners.
