A walk on the wild side

Over the past couple of months I have hopefully enlightened you about the gear that I have found useful for a day’s walked-up or rough shooting. I have been involved with this type of shooting for more than 30 years and have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn’t.

One question I am asked a lot is: “How do you find your shoots?” Well, the simple answer is through hard work and perseverance. When I started our informal rough shooting syndicate, the Circle of Trust, we had one location and that was a three-hour drive away in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
