“Mike Rutherford is one of the most underrated musicians and writers in progressive rock. He’s known as being a good collaborator, for writing parts rather than whole songs, and he’s responsible for some of from , the ⅞ bit in , the majority of is also a very complicated song, and Mike came up with that drum machine pattern from which it was built. He’s an extraordinarily talented writer and, partly because Genesis often used to credit their songwriting to the group, he doesn’t always get his due.
