Klone are going from strength to strength. Over a 20-year career, they’ve slowly gained momentum, enjoying cult success along the way. Independently releasing their first record, they then put out three albums on the influential Pelagic imprint before signing to Kscope for their latest album, Le Grand Voyage. “It’s really good to be signed with Kscope,” enthuses guitarist Guillaume Bernard. “It’s the first time they’ve signed a French band. There aren’t a lot of progressive bands in France, and we’re very proud of it.”
As you might expect, Bernard is excited – the album is nearing release and represents Klone realising their artistic vision. At the. Klone are one of those unassuming bands for whom it’s almost a given that, at their own pace, they’ll continue to make solid albums that build on what the group have accomplished before. Bernard tends to agree.
