FIELD MUSIC

In January 2019, art rockers Field Music played a pair of shows at the Imperial War Museums in Manchester and London, performing as part of the IWM’s ‘Making A New World’ programme of events reflecting on the legacy of the First World War. Having specially written a suite of songs and instrumental pieces for the performance, brothers Peter and David Brewis realised that they had “accidentally made a new album”, and a concept album at that, with Making A covering such widely diverse topics as social housing, gender reassignment, the Dada art movement, Tiananmen Square and sanitary towels.
