    We’re not sure about the punctuation in the title, but we are sure that Pop!_OS is a fine take on Ubuntu 19.10. It’s also a fine distro to get started with Linux, and we’ve got a feature about doing just that on page 32.

    For those late to the party Pop!_OS is made by System76, the US-based manufacturer of Linux systems. As you might expect, Pop!_OS has been tested with all System76 hardware, but, the Linux firmware updating tool that obviates the need to update firmware from Windows/DOS. , as it is imaginatively titled, can manage firmware for everything supported by , not just System76. It also integrates into Gnome’s Settings application.
