for this issue’s Entertainment section brought back a flood of memories. I first caught Coppola’s classic war film in my (or should I say, ) did two years earlier. Watching the film then, I remember thinking I was experiencing something greater than filmed entertainment. And though I didn’t have the words to properly express it at the time, my impression was that I was taking in an important work of art.
