GWCT Big Farmland Bird Count returns in 2020

The 2020 Big Farmland Bird Count (BFBC) will take place between 7 and 16 February and wildlife enthusiasts nationwide are being urged to take part.

The BFBC, sponsored by the NFU, is in its seventh year and involves farmers, land managers and gamekeepers spending 30 minutes noting down the different birds they see on a particular area of a farm during the 10-day period. The results will be used to help determine which farmland birds benefit from conservation efforts while at the same time identifying those
