Waste Not, Want Not

Globally, what was once seen as waste is increasingly perceived as an untapped resource, and all it takes is a little imagination and creativity, something the Eastern Cape’s Sunshine Coast ecopreneurs have in abundance.

Clare Rothwell enjoys the challenge of upcycling, finding new and creative uses for what is regarded as waste. “There seem to be as many ways to repurpose waste material as there are reasons why we shouldn’t send it to landfills,“ says the teacher and designer, who moved to Bathurst four years ago.
