On the Edge of the Urban Jungle

One recent Saturday morning we decided to go cycling hardly a thing to write home about except for the fact that our 30-year-old bikes hadn”t seen the light of day for more than two decades. You know how it is. Dangerous roads, busy lives, too hot/cold/windy/wet, and the truth ’ just plain lazy.

Anyway, I”d heard about the ten-kilometre mountain-bike trail in the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve (KSNR) in Yellowwood Park to the south of Durban. Described as a “moderately challenging but not exhausting” trail, it sounded just about doable, even for infrequent cyclists like us.
