THE PERFECT BALANCE
You’re hiking in a desert canyon, surrounded by gnarled, bizarre rock formations. In the distance is a formation that looks a little different from the others—it’s spindlier, and… it’s moving. Getting closer, you realize that it’s actually two people balancing atop a stack of rocks. The guy is on his back, legs stretched up towards the sky, and on his feet is a woman in a yoga pose that’s virtually impossible to do on solid land—but precariously balanced on another human? On top of a rock? In the desert? Forget it.
Nicholas Coolridge, aka Tarzan, and his girlfriend Dana, or Sprout, are Acroyoga enthusiasts and teachers, and they are responsible for some of the most insane images on the internet.
Some of you might know Tarzan (as he likes to be called) from his Instagram account, @moderntarzan, where he posts pictures and videos of himself and Sprout contorted, airborne, and displaying physical strength that is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
