    Fitting new LED BULBS

    In the previous issue, we covered the legality of fitting LED retrofit bulbs to your ’van, and this month, we’re showing you a typical application. The vehicle here is a Renault Trafic, but the fitment is similar for many other vans.

    The key point is that you must use the correct bulbs for your type of lamp unit – especially in the case of reflector-style housings – and if you are upgrading your headlights, you must get the alignment checked at your local MoT test centre (most will happily check this for you for free).

    Equally, before you invest in any LED bulbs, check that your insurance company is happy with you making the change.
