However, it was all the detail that Collette Duddy needed to take action. Duddy is the founder and executive director of Second Chance Thoroughbreds, Inc.—a rescue organization for retired racehorses. Her mission is to rehabilitate, retrain and rehome off-the-track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) in need. And here was a horse in need. “We were close by,” she explains, “We had to take him.”
