WHY CAN’T I FIT MY TOWING MIRRORS?

Q I note you are running a Vauxhall Insignia B on long-term test. I have the same car (18 reg) and I’m having a problem fitting my Milenco Aero mirrors, because the door mirror bezel design means the mirror clamps slip off easily.

Milenco suggested fitting ‘F’ pads to the clamps; I tried this but they were a worse fit. I’ve tried fitting a retaining strap around the mirror housing but again, owing to the design of the mirror, this didn’t work. Any advice would be welcome.
