Watching as my precious boy played around with his toys, I couldn’t help but smile widely at him.
Ever since he was little, Francis, seven, has always loved toy cars.
In fact, he was obsessed with all of them.
Police cars, fire engines, aeroplanes, helicopters and steam trains – he can’t get enough.
‘I want to be a lorry driver when I’m older… and a firefighter!’ Francis smiled, as he steered his cars across the living room.
‘Anything else?’ I giggled.
Francis had big dreams, and me and my partner, Darren, 52, would support whatever he chose to do.
That was December last year, and Francis was just like any other little boy.
