This is the cheapest option here – but that’s because this is a wired remote, T limiting its versatility. However, this needn’t be a deal-breaker: like the Hähnel Captur remote, Taimi can be preprogrammed with a time-lapse sequence, so once you’ve dialled in your preferred parameters, you can leave the device to do its thing. The wired link also helps to keep power consumption down, resulting in a massive 300-hour battery life from just two AAA batteries.

Phottix’s button and screen design is actually very similar to Hähnel’s, so make sure that you don’t discard the manual: it will be required to decipher the various time-lapse and shutter release options. As with the Captur, you can program sequences up to 100
