FORD HAS BUILT a faster, stronger four-cylinder Mustang that will replace the EcoBoost as the range’s new entry-level variant when it arrives next year.

Confidently named the Mustang High Performance 2.3L, it tweaks the existing car’s powertrain, chassis and equipment to deliver on its new tag.
