Deductions in the danger zone

With the end of the financial year looming, the tax office is on the warpath, targeting property investors who get their deductions wrong. It’s also aiming its sights at those who make money from property, such as renting out a room on Airbnb, but don’t declare the income. And it has warned real estate investors that they will be subject to more than double the number of audits this year.
