I thought punk was the most radical music out there and then comes my friend with a MiniDisc player – because that was a thing – to show me . I was infatuated immediately. It was a rush of adrenaline! I metal music.’ He showed me by and I understood why. It’s relentless; there’s no compromise. The intro, it’s simply, ‘How many notes can we fit into this femtosecond?’ It’s great!
