January 2018 arrived with the heartbreaking announcement that, after nearly 40 years, Slayer had decided to hang up their instruments. The news wasn’t entirely unexpected; vocalist Tom Araya had hinted at the band’s impending retirement as far back as 2016, but the decision was formalised with the announcement of their farewell tour. This final campaign has sent the California legends to nearly 150 cities across the globe, and as it fittingly ends in their hometown of Los Angeles, we rock up to the Forum to say farewell to one of the most influential and thrilling bands of all time.
