Airbnb Plus in Palazzo Pitti
Airbnbs in Firenze are plentiful but finding ‘the one’ without a direct recommendation can be tricky. Search no further, because we’ve found it. One of Airbnb’s premium offerings, this aptly named ‘Stylish and elegant flat with view over Palazzo Pitti’, perfectly matches its description.
Not only does it boast a prime location overlooking the stunning 15th-century Renaissance palace at Florence’s centre, but its interiors are impeccable too. Think white-painted brick walls, parquet floors, light-drenched rooms, comfy beds and tasteful neutral decor throughout. Managed by local Filippo, it has two bedrooms (and bathrooms), a generous living room/kitchen area and a library space with two windows – both of which perfectly frame a show-stopping view of the palace’s piazza below. New and old-world style combine, with antique headboards and shelves filled with classic literature alongside all the mod-cons you could wish for – including a very good coffee machine.
All that is left to do after a busy day exploring the city is nestle down with a coffee (or glass of wine) and a copy of EM Forster’s A Room with a View, and you’ll feel like a true local. Just remember to book in good time, as this golden find is often fully booked. airbnb.co.uk/plus
