Rosacea and chronic redness

Rosacea is a common skin condition characterised by persistent redness and – in some cases – small bumps and pustules across the chin, forehead, cheeks and nose. It predominantly affects the fair-skinned among us and is more common in women than men (though rosacea tends to be more severe in men when it does occur).

What causes rosacea?

Despite being a common skin ailment, research into rosacea remains scant. The exact cause of the condition is unknown and there is currently no cure, though long-term treatment
