FROM SOUTH AFRICA TO THE SAND

FOR 2020, the Dakar Rally moves to Saudi Arabia. A new country brings new challenges for the teams as they explore uncharted routes and terrain. One thing is for sure, there will be big dunes and plenty of sand.

In the car category, Toyota Gazoo Racing has entered four of its South African-built Hilux bakkies driven by Nasser Al- Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel, Giniel de Villiers alongside navigator Alex Haro, this star-studded line-up should ensure this South African team is a force to be reckoned with for overall honours in the category. The team has done considerably more testing prior to this event than ever before to ensure their already competitive and reliable vehicle is ready for whatever challenge the competitors might bring.
