Large, very large, round ears hardly sound like endearing adornments for an antelope. Neither does the generally drab fawn colour make much of a difference. But add spiral horns, up to 1.8m long, and suddenly the striking kudu bulls present a strong challenge to the majestic sable bulls for prime position as one of Africa’s most imposing antelopes!
