Task lighting is exactly that – specific lighting designed to help us get on with the various things that need to be done around the house.

Whether you’re paying bills, chopping the vegies for dinner, being schooled in Year Five maths homework or trying to lose yourself in a book at the end of a long, hard day, lighting is everything when using a space. Yet a considered lighting plan is one of the biggest overlooked elements in any home design, and a poorly lit space can result in all sorts of chaos. Just try changing a nappy in a dim space, or applying make-up, for that matter – both will end up looking like a dog’s breakfast.
