In a noisy and increasingly busy world, a moment of silence is a sacred thing, especially at home. A toddler’s whine, the neighbour’s mower and even the kettle at full boil can quickly ruin a TV marathon or your morning salute to the sun. These days, homes are designed around light, space and utility but rarely acoustics. How sound moves through a space is too often an unconsidered outcome, but it has a huge effect on how our spaces work.
