‘I don’t know whether I should be proud or alarmed at the number of winners who have portrayed members of my family’ The Duke
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge helped make this year’s British Academy Film Awards – the Baftas – a glittering night to remember from the word go.
With sustainability being the theme for the night, Kate stole the show in a gold-embroidered Alexander McQueen gown that she first wore in Malaysia in 2012.
As she swept up the stairs of the Royal Albert Hall, voices in the crowd called out: “You look beautiful, Kate.” Smiling as she thanked them, another voice piped up: “You too, Will!” prompting a laugh and a “Thanks!” from the Duke, who is president of Bafta.
Inside the venue, there were more laughs in store.
