In her most candid and personal interview ever, the Duchess of Cambridge has spoken for the first time in detail about the birth of her children and life as a mother of three.
Kate, 38, opened up on the joys and challenges of motherhood as well as offering fascinating insights into her life with Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four and Prince Louis, who turns two in April, as she chatted to Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby.
From her feelings as she held George for the first time to the “terrifying” moment she and the Duke stepped out of the Lindo Wing a day later to present him to the world, it is the first time the future Queen has spoken so publicly about her experience.

Kate also confirmed that she’d used hypnobirthing during labour and talked about her “utterly rotten” morning sickness, “mum guilt” and the challenges of being a new parent.
“I don’t think I expected to hear any of it,” Giovanna said later. “I had never heard her speak so openly in this way before, so personally.”
