BE A ZERO-WASTE beauty

If you read part-one of my feature in last month’s issue of WF, hopefully you’ve already embarked on a journey to purge your bathroom of plastic. This month, it’s time to look at your make-up and gym-bag essentials. Gather all those must-haves and you’ll soon see just how much packaging is involved favourite items – and that’s not including all the packaging you bin after buying your products. According to a report from Zero Waste Week, the beauty industry is one of the worst culprits of unsustainable packaging, with global cosmetics companies producing 120 billion units of packaging a year, the majority of which are not recyclable.
